Amazon often misses a substantial number of reimbursements owed to its Sellers - sometimes a value as high as 4% of gross sales. When brought to their attention Amazon reimburses according to their policy, but it is the responsibility of the seller to locate the reimbursement opportunities. Then the seller must fully research, and submit cases to request the reimbursement.  It can be very time-consuming and complex to appropriately identify recovery opportunities, thoroughly research them, create support cases, and following through to ensure reimbursement.

These reimbursements come from a variety of places: lost, damaged, and destroyed inventory; non-refunded customer returns; fee corrections; etc. Amazon’s policies are quite particular in terms of requesting and receiving reimbursements for items that fall into those categories. In order to be compliant and not risk account suspension, Sellers must adhere precisely to those policies. This includes submitting the case for reimbursement within a certain time frame.

Amazon’s inventory codes confusing. In addition to having multiple codes meaning very similar things, inventory floats in and out of sellers’ accounts all the time. It is very important to understand the codes and movement before submitting cases for reimbursements. We are experts with the codes!
